Easter On Parade On Monument Ave

April 10, 2009 – 4:53 pm

Just a reminder that this Sunday, April 12 is Easter on Parade on Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virgina. The event takes place from 1pm through 5pm. I did a couple of dog walks on Monument Ave. this week and the street is looking pretty spiffy. The landscapers are out en masse making all the yards look beautiful.

Come visit SPCA Adoption Stand at Meadow and Monument. They will be there from 1pm through 5pm. I’ll be volunteering there from noon through 2:30 so stop by and say hello!

Leah Earns Certification

March 11, 2009 – 7:51 am

Congratulations to Leah Hostetler for earning her Certification in Pet First Aid and CPR from the American Red Cross. Leah has been with River City Rover LLC for several months now and has been a lifesaver. We would not have made it through the holidays without her. Because of her we were able to meet the holiday needs of all our clients even with last minute requests and changes.

Favorite Fun Sites

September 18, 2008 – 9:05 am

If you don’t already know about these two sites, you are missing out on several laughs a day. In good conscience, I just can’t let that happen. On both of these sites, very clever folks just like you and me, (except they are actually more clever then me) pick out uploaded pictures of cats and dogs and add their own captions. They use a sort of funny animal language for some words, but it is easy to catch onto. There is always at least one every day that makes me laugh out loud or gives me the giggles for several minutes. The one for cat lovers is icanhascheezeburger.com and the one for dog lovers is ihasahotdog.com
I’m not sure why this next site makes me smile, but it does. Maybe it will make you smile, too. It is Cats In Sinks. It is pretty self explanatory. As the web site says. “It’s about cats. In sinks.” If that isn’t good enough they do expound further. “What is Cats in Sinks? It’s obvious. It’s about cats. And kittens. Who like sinks. And basins.”
Let me know if you have some favorite fun sites to share. : )

Welcome to the River City Rover Blog

August 24, 2008 – 1:29 pm

Thank you for visiting our brand new blog. I hope it will be fun, interesting and informative. This was really Java’s idea. As Director of Barketing, he felt it was important to keep our clients and friends aware of River City Rover happenings as well as items of interest from Rover’s all over. I thought Java was going to be in charge of the blog, but guess what, he can’t type. Okay, well, he CAN, just not very well. At least that’s what he says. So, I guess this is mostly me with some contributions from others. Java has agreed to do what he can. He specifically mentioned hard nosed reporting (oh, he said wet nosed, my bad) on toys, treats and pet bed technology. If your or your pet get inspired to take on the role of roving reporter we’d love for you to share with us.
